ANNIE CANCELED

We regret to announce that our closing weekend, this Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st, for our Professional Production of Annie has been canceled.

We understand this comes as a surprise but elements outside of our control prohibit us from performing this weekend (and we are heartbroken over it).

All tickets will be refunded as quickly as we can process them.

If you have not received a refund to your credit card by this weekend, or if you have further questions, please feel free to reach us at info@limelighttheatreco.org

We appreciate your patronage and loyalty to Limelight Theatre Company and we will soon be announcing future plans for our next production.

Annie The Musical: It’s the classic tale that the entire world knows but with the creativity and cleverness you have come to expect from Limelight. Don’t worry – all the lovable characters and all the hummable songs are still there – but told with a re-imagined twist that will make you fall head-over-heels in love with this show all over again.

Everyone loves Annie – she’s the world’s most spirited and determined orphan. A spunky girl on a mission to find her parents in 1930’s New York City during the Great Depression, after being abandoned years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other orphans, Annie escapes and experiences adventure in The Big Apple, making friends with a billionaire, a lovable dog and even the President of the United States, until finally finding her forever home.

‘Annie’ the Broadway Musical (based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip ‘Little Orphan Annie’) with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years, setting worldwide records with numerous productions in many countries, national tours, television and film productions and more.

Most notably – Annie won the Tony Award for Best Musical with popular songs such as “Tomorrow”, “Hard Knock Life”, “Easy Street”, “NYC” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile” among many others.

Limelight Theatre Company promises to present a delightfully offbeat, funny and heartwarming adaptation of this classic adventure in our intimate black-box theatre (without a bad seat in the house) – you will be up close and personal, part of the action and caught up in the excitement.
